I’m a french engineer/winemaker from Burgundy with Spaniard blood born in Lyon in 1975. I’m a scientist by formation and an unique creative soul. The taste for making wines came naturally to me through the passion of my grandfather, a grower of centenary vines up North West of Spain.

Daniel Giménez Alba


A French enologist having only officially joined the Hammeken Cellars Team in 2008, his presence in the Yecla wine community has had him collaborating with David on Hammeken Cellars wines, such as Flor del Montgo Monastrell, since 2004. Now as a part of the team, Daniel offers Hammeken Cellars a wine making style influenced greatly by his French roots and participation in Chilean and Californian harvests. A shared philosophy of letting the pureness of the grape dominate the wine, Daniel assist David by controlling the day to day progression and quality of our collection in the Yecla, Jumilla, as well as surrounding Valencia, Alicante and La Mancha regions.
