Gotas de Mar- “Drops of the Sea” a wine that is as refreshing to your palate as the name suggests. Let us introduce you to the spanish cult grape varietal, Godello, from the little green region of Ribeiro located off the Atlantic North-Western coast of Spain. Envision a vineyard sitting at its highest point of 150m, with the River Miño at its feet. Each vine, gracefully trellised, making a uniformed descent down to the fresh river banks below. This young wine gives you Godello at face value, wonderful crispness with lush fruitiness. A wine that is grabing the attention of tasters World wide, and living up to its uniqueness with every serving.


The grapes were handpicked during early morning to preserve its charming aromatic character. Whole bunch pressing in pneumatic press. Cold settling for 16 hours, racked off its heavy lees before inoculating with neutral yeast strains. Controlled fermentation at 15-17ºC during the for 18-21 days in new French Oak barrels of 500 litres. After the alcoholic fermentation the wine was aged for 8 months in the barrels during periodically stirring of the lees. Racked, clarified and filtrated the wine was bottled in May 2017.

Tasting notes

Brilliant pale lemon color. Intense stringent aromas of pear, yellow stone fruits, stony minerals, exotic toasted oak, freshly baked bread and a hint of fresh sea breeze. The palate offers an energetic combination fresh exotic fruits, steely acidity, complexity, elegant toasted oak and stony minerals. It finishes clean with a layer of textures, refreshing acidity and long complex persistency.
