Hammeken Group strengthens its commitment to sustainability
At Hammeken Group, sustainability is not understood as a final destination, but as a way of working. On the occasion of World Environment Day, the company highlights some of the real measures that are already part of our operations and production model.
One of the main areas of progress is energy. Hammeken Group currently operates with 100% renewable electricity, reinforcing its commitment to a more responsible and efficient energy model. In addition, at Finca Las Piñas, 45% of the energy used comes from our own solar production, reducing dependence on external sources and contributing to a more sustainable production process.
Packaging is another key pillar within our sustainability roadmap. Today, 72% of Hammeken Group’s bottled wine is already packed in bottles weighing less than 400 grams, helping to reduce material use and the impact associated with transportation. In addition, 74% of our green bottles contain between 74% and 86% recycled glass, supporting a lower consumption of resources.
At Finca Las Piñas, responsible water management is also part of the company’s operational approach. Treated water is already being reused to irrigate almond trees, giving resources a second life and contributing to a more circular use of water within the facility.
These actions reflect Hammeken Group’s vision: sustainability is built through decisions, not only through messages. From renewable energy to the use of recycled glass, lighter bottles and water reuse, the company continues to move forward with a clear objective: to keep improving step by step and to integrate responsible decisions into the way we work every day.
