The cork stoppers used in 2025 contributed to a retention of -57.7 tonnes of CO₂e
At Hammeken Cellars, we continue to move forward in our commitment to sustainability, integrating responsible decisions into even the smallest details that form part of our wines.
Thanks to the life cycle assessment carried out by Amorim Cork, we can better understand the environmental impact of the cork stoppers we use, from the cork oak tree to the factory gate.
This assessment, developed in accordance with ISO 14067, allows us to calculate the contribution of our cork stoppers to CO₂ retention during 2025. According to the available data, the cork stoppers purchased by Hammeken Cellars contributed to an estimated -57.7 tonnes of CO₂e.
This result reinforces the importance of continuing to make responsible decisions across the entire value chain, including materials, suppliers and packaging solutions that help reduce our carbon footprint.
At Hammeken Cellars, we understand that sustainability is built step by step, through concrete decisions that help improve our impact and move towards a more responsible production model.
Because every decision counts.
